The audio casette has been divided into 3 parts

  • Part One describes why is diagnosis and treatment of Latent Tuberculosis infection (LTBI) so important.

  • Part Two discusses how to diagnose LTBI and which person should be tested. The presenter reminds that "a decision to test is a decision to treat"

  • Part Three explains treatment of LTBI and process of monitoring patients under treatment.

The guidelines for diagnosis and treatment of LTBI have recently been updated by CDC and American Thoracic Society. The presenter stresses that clinicians need to be  specially aware of these changes so that they can practice according to most updated information that is available. The presentation enlightens the listener  about the high points of the subjects and guides on how to avoid pot holes along the way.
